What is the Homesteading Lifestyle and how do I get started?

Take a few minutes to explore backyard farming, gardening, raising animals, etc...

What has your backyard done for you lately?

As food prices rise, maybe you've thought about starting a garden. It's easy!

Maybe you are doing fine right now - but the world economy is shaky. What if you or your spouse lost a job? ...

We call it un-dependence, an un-doing of our dependence on mega corporations and government. These huge business and political organizations seek to control all aspects of our lives, but with a little help from the worldwide community of homesteaders on the Internet, we can begin our journey in self-reliance.

Take a lesson from the ants... Learn from their ways and become wise! Though they have no prince or governor or ruler to make them work, they labor hard all summer, gathering food for the winter. Proverbs 6:6-8 (NLT)
